The Author
Miss Katherine Dang has been in the field of American Christian

education since 1970.  Upon graduating from the University of

California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts in American History, she

began teaching at American Heritage Christian School, Hayward,

California, under the headmastership of Mr. James Rose, now

President of the American Christian History Institute of Palo Cedro,

California. During her nine years at American Heritage, she developed

and established her courses in the Principle Approach.

Leaving American Heritage in 1979, she went on to help found and

establish Chinese Christian Schools, in San Leandro, California. In the

school as administrator and teacher for sixteen years,  she gave

direction and oversight to the curriculum in grades kindergarten

through twelfth and was responsible for the training of the faculty.

For seven summers (1972-1978), she was under the direction of the

late Verna Hall, in the researching and compiling of original resources

for ancient history students.  The Universal History  volume is based

upon the research collected from those seven summers and twenty-

seven years' experience in teaching students, parents, and school

faculty.

Katherine Dang is a home and day school consultant, conference

speaker and workshop leader, and has taught in Christian history

institutes and courses sponsored either by Pilgrim Institute of Mishawaka,

Indiana, or American Christian History Institute, throughout the

country, for over twenty years.  Currently, she is the Vice President of

Pilgrim Institute, and the Founder and President of Philomath

Publications.
